HOW TO CHOOSE A TENNIS RACQUET FOR KIDS :-

A good way to check the measurement is:

1. Have your child stand up straight
2. Stand the racket β€” handle upwards β€” next to their foot on their playing side.
3. Your child should be able to comfortably hold the tip of the handle with their fingers

DIFFERENT TYPES OF TENNIS RACQUET :-

1. Power Racquet-

These racquet models feature oversize to super-oversize heads (107-135 square inches), are lightweight (8-9.5 ounces), longer (27-29 inches) stiffer and are balanced head heavy (or evenly balanced) to retain enough weight in the hitting zone. Designed for players with shorter, slower swings who want more power from the racquet.

2. Versatile Racquet-

A tweener borrows some of the lightness and power of the power racquets and mixes it with some of the control of the player's racquets. These racquets are often light to medium weight (9.5-11 ounces), balanced anywhere from slightly head light to slightly head heavy and have midplus (98-104 square inches) heads. The power level typically ranges from low-medium to medium-high power, making them most appealing to intermediate through advanced players.

3. Speed Racquet-

These racquets are perfect for all-court players looking for a good balance between power and control along with an arm-friendly feel and easy access to spin. With different headsizes and weights, we are sure any player from beginner to advanced can find something to work for their game.

Different types of tennis courts:-

1. Clay

Clay courts are made of compressed shale, stone, or brick. While they are relatively easy and cheap to install, long-term maintenance can be quite expensive, particularly when compared to the costs of artificial tennis court surfaces.
In terms of play, clay courts are traditionally used in the French Open. These courts characteristically have a slower game and give balls a higher bounce. They tend to favor baseline players, as well.

2. Grass

Tennis courts with grass surfaces are not as common today as they have been in the past due to the high maintenance costs of constant watering and mowing. They are also more impacted by weather conditions than clay or hard court surfaces are. Dirt is hard-packed and the grass must be trimmed very short. Grass is the fastest type of court because of its low bounce capacity. Players must get to the ball much more quickly than with clay or hard court.

3. Hard Courts

Hard courts can range from faster to slower speeds depending on the quantity and size of sand mixed into the paint coating. Hard courts tend to equalize the playing field in terms of athletic style. An acrylic hard court is used in the US Open and a synthetic for the Australian Open.

4. Carpet

Carpet courts are removable tennis court surfaces. These can be made from any of several materials, from artificial turf to hard rubber. In general, carpeted courts make for a fast game.
